Alliance Community Hospital has been proud to be the community’s healthcare provider for over 100 years. As one of the city’s largest employers, the hospital employs over 1,000 colleagues at their various locations and entities.

Tending to the Healthcare Needs of Alliance Since 1901!

Officially opening their doors at the Whitacre House in 1901, the hospital was renamed Alliance City Hospital in 1914. Throughout the decade, the hospital has become a cornerstone of the Alliance community, not only by employing such a large workforce but by tending to all the healthcare needs of the Greater Alliance Area.

At Alliance Community Hospital, they refer to their staff as “colleagues” – because everyone is treated equally, all colleagues’ voices and opinions are heard and taken into consideration. To honor colleagues who have gone above and beyond for their patients, the hospital holds an annual recognition program. This recognition helps the hospital and its staff strive to provide the very best in patient care.

Alliance Community Hospital’s Planetree philosophy of care encourages all colleagues to treat everyone that comes through their doors as a guest, not a patient. This means the care they provide to the community of Alliance is unparalleled – Planetree is an internationally-recognized, non-profit organization that advocates patient-centered care, complementary therapies and more to provide the best possible healing environment.

Better Serving Patients Thanks to Their Supporters

The hospital’s Executive leadership believes in being fully transparent and holds monthly meetings and forums to discuss any upcoming changes or to relay important information throughout the hospital. Their staff is one of the hospital’s strongest systems of support and they believe keeping everyone well-informed helps keeps them be a better backbone for the hospital.

With strong ties to the business community, local business owners have always been well represented in Alliance Community Hospital’s board of trustees. This helps the hospital better serve our community. As the local healthcare provider, many businesses in Alliance encourage their staff to use the hospital’s facilities for their care so they want to make sure it’s best serving their needs.

The hospital welcomes all voices of the community and takes all their opinions into consideration in order to continue operating under the standards that Alliance deserves. Over the years ACH has forged strong partnerships with the Alliance community that have helped support the hospital’s efforts – They hope to be able to continue to expand their services to be the area’s premier healthcare provider for many years to come!

Yearly Community Initiatives and Fundraising Efforts

Proud to call Alliance home, Alliance Community Hospital says the partnerships and collaborations that take place within this city are what make the hospital so special. Thanks to these partnerships and the support of local businesses and individuals in the city of Alliance, the hospital has not only kept its doors open since 1901 but has found ways to continually improve to better serve patient needs.

To give back to the community that supports them, the hospital does their part to support and educate the community on health and wellness initiatives. Two years ago ACH started hosting their annual “Fall into Good Health” health fair. In 2017 over 30 hospital departments hosted vendor booths inside the Café. This event, which was free to the public, offered blood pressure screenings, glucose and hemoglobin A1c tests, bone density, foot evaluations, balance testing, and FIT cards, among others. Over 300 people took part in this community outreach event!

Alliance Community Hospital’s Steppin’ Out for Hospice Run is their annual 5K run/walk and 1K kids run/walk that benefits the hospital’s Hospice organization.

Their annual Charity Golf Classic benefits four local non-profits. In 2017 ACH supported the efforts of the Alliance Family YMCA, the Alliance for Children and Families, the Alliance Area Development as well as the Alliance Family Health Center.

In addition to community health and wellness initiatives, the hospital hosts several fundraisers throughout the year to support their ACH Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization that raises funds to help provide the best health caring experience for their patients. The ACH Foundation raises money in several different ways throughout the year including annual campaigns, special events and more.
