Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home believes that love transcends words and thoughts. This is evident in both their beautiful funeral services and the staff’s dedication to Making Alliance Theirs through local community service organizations.

Growing With the City of Alliance for Over 100 Years

In the late 1800s, brothers Samuel and Daniel Cassady, along with Daniel’s son in law, Edgar Turkle Sr., founded the firm. Over the years, the business grew and expanded to keep up with the changing needs of the community.

In 1926, Cassaday-Turkle-Chirstian bought and converted D.W. Crist mansion on South Union Avenue to one of the first funeral homes in the state, where the business is still located today.

In the early 60’s they saw a need for quicker access to emergency services during a medical crisis and helped establish the Alliance Ambulance Service.

In 1992, under the ownership of John Christian, the facility was expanded with a new contemporary addition. And after being well received in the community, the business called for yet another expansion in 1999 – a new 2,500 square foot addition added two chapels and a floral delivery room to the property.

Involvement With Over A Dozen Local Service Organizations

Only three years after the founding of Cassaday and Turkle, co-owner Edgar Turkle helped form the Alliance Rotary Club. His leadership initiative instilled a strong sense of community pride in his employees, which can still be seen today.
