Robertson Heating Supply Co. is a family-owned business with four generations presently working for the company. Robertson Heating Supply Co. was founded in Alliance by John Robertson as a heating distributor and then in 1947 expanded into plumbing. They are a distributor of plumbing, heating, hydronics and kitchen cabinet products.

Since 1947, Robertson Heating Supply has offered not only products and services on which you can depend, but their family-owned values entend into true partnerships that help business succeed and keeps their customers satisfied. Robertson’s has 30 locations in Ohio, Western PA & Michigan. The Alliance office also has a retail showroom (Robertson Kitchen & Bath Gallery) that is open to the public as a value-added service to people in the community.

Robertson Heating Supply Co. is in the top 50 plumbing and heating distributors nationwide. Across their locations, Robertson employs approximately 280 people, all of which they credit for being an integral part of their success. They say the longevity of their employees speaks volumes to that. Robertson employs 80 professionals with over 20 years of service, which is a third of their workforce!

Community Oriented for Over 80 Years


Since 1934, as a family, Robertson has always been very involved in the Alliance community. They live here, choose to raise their families here, and believe that Alliance has a lot to offer not only to their company but also their employees.

When they were anticipating their move to the Industrial Park and in the process of building a new facility, Robertson says they received tax abatements and are thankful for the support of the City of Alliance.  

The Robertson family is very community oriented and shows their support of local schools, particularly Marlington where most of the family graduated from, through their support of school activities and fundraisers. The new MHS press box and artificial field turf are among the recent additions that Roberton’s helped bring to reality.

Scott and Sue of the Robertson family were Trustees of the former Robertson Youth Center and continue to support the sustainability of the current Robertson Community Center.  They have had a lot of involvement throughout the community – from helping to establish the Skateboard Park to annually supporting the Carnation Festival. They are also Supporters of the Castle Crusaders to maintain the authenticity of the Glamorgan Castle, a historic Alliance landmark. Roberton’s is also longtime members of the Chamber of Commerce and members of the Alliance Area Development Foundation.
