Farmers National Bank is focused on meeting the needs of the communities they serve through their wide offering of financial services, including banking and lending services, and personalized customer service. Farmers opened their doors in Alliance in 2015 and has been Making Alliance Theirs ever since by giving back to the community through their continued support of local organizations, fundraising events and more.

Celebrating 130 Years in Business

Farmers National Bank has been serving local communities since they opened in Canfield, Ohio in 1887. From humble beginnings as a single-employee bank, Farmers has grown into 39 locations across Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Stark, Summit, Wayne, Medina, and Cuyahoga Counties in Ohio, and Beaver County in Pennsylvania.

With a focus always on integrity, respect, and commitment to quality, Farmers helps individuals and businesses thrive by providing the best products and services to fit their needs. They pride themselves in personalizing the customer service experience for each of their clients to make sure all their needs are exceeded.

Farmers’ New Home in Alliance

Farmers opened their Alliance branch in June of 2015. They said they chose Alliance because they love the hometown feel, as well as the people that live here. They are excited to now be able to expand their services to Alliance area residents.

In addition to being committed to the financial success of the people in the community that they serve, Farmers is also committed to their employees. The commitment shows in how they treat their staff members by working as a team and encouraging them to grow in their careers, making it a great place to work in Alliance. The Alliance branch houses 6 employees, and the full Farmers Bank team has close to 450 employees in Ohio and surrounding states.

Farmers National Bank says The Alliance Chamber of Commerce was integral in welcoming their team into the community. Farmers has formed strong relationships in Alliance over the past two years in business, and thanks to the support of these community organizations and businesses, Farmers has been able to grow alongside the rest of the business community. They are thrilled with the relationships they have already formed since 2015 and look forward to future partnerships with businesses, local nonprofits and other organizations.

Strong Community Supporters

Farmers National Bank has been a dedicated supporter of the Alliance community since opening their branch here in 2015. Giving back is very important to the Alliance branch manager, Brian McDermitt, and he encourages his staff and team members to find opportunities to contribute to the community that has enabled Farmers to thrive.

Farmers National Bank is a proud sponsor of sports programs in Alliance and Marlington, including the Alliance High School Volleyball Team and Alliance Youth Softball Team. They are also supporters and sponsors of community events like the Alliance Carnation Festival and Alliance Fest. Additionally, they are very involved in local church summer youth programs, “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser events (Domestic Violence Shelter), and Mount Union fundraising events.

The staff at Farmers National Bank has also been very involved in volunteering at the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter, X-Excel center to raise funds for adult MRDD, and the Alliance Community Pantry. See them out in the community Making Alliance Theirs!
